Sign Up for Swimming
SwimAmerica is the learn-to-swim program of the American Swimming Coaches Association offered by Highlander Aquatics and Lake Highland Preparatory School. Each swimmer progresses at their own rate, independent of other swimmers’ development.
Proper swim techniques are emphasized, with care given to correct breathing, body position, movement of limbs, and timing.
When I first got to Highlander Aquatics, I didn’t know how to swim at all. I first noticed the teamwork there, and then I started learning how to do the swimming strokes. Now, I’m on a swim team and moving up to the White team next! Christopher P.

What to Know Before Registering
Swim lessons start at two years old (24 months).
All two-year-olds and non-swimmers are required to take private lessons until they can swim independently and comfortably in the water.
We recommend at least 8 lessons for non-swimmers. Back-to-back sessions are preferred for consistency.
Private lessons are one-on-one with the instructor.
Private lessons are $140 per session, which includes four 25-minute lessons.
Lessons and instructors are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
To request an instructor (or a certain personality), please mention it in the "comments" section of the registration form.
Only lessons that are canceled by and with the instructor can be rescheduled. No-calls and no-shows cannot be made up.
Payment is due in full within seven days of confirmed registration.
